Montenegro (Crna Gora – literally translated “Black Mountain”), covers around 13, 812 km². Its coastline runs down the southern part of the Adriatic Sea. It borders Croatia to the north, Serbia to the east and Albania to the south and is only a 2hr 30min flight from London.
Its cultural heritage and its setting are impressive considering its size.
Visitors can experience massively different scenery within only a 10 min drive: The second deepest canyon in the world, one of the last jungles in Europe and clear, drinking-quality water lakes, all surrounded by high gorgeous mountains.
The Adriatic Coast has many long sandy beaches bordering the brilliant blue open sea. Springing up along the coastline are the old town of Budva and the famous island of Sveti Stefan, the former playground of Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor.
The Bay of Kotor is one of the most dramatic landscapes in the Balkans. Dotted along the shorefront are settlements with stone Harbours, Venetian-style villas, churches, and palm, orange, lemon, and olive trees that contrast wonderfully with the towering rock walls of Kotor.

Skadar Lake
The biggest in Balkans, Skadar lake gives us numerous kinds of birds and fish. This site is known in the world as the only habitat of pelicans in the south of the Europe. It is also a renowned hunting and fishing ground.
Tara Canyon
The Tara River cuts the Tara River Gorge, the deepest canyon in Montenegro and Europe, at 78 kilometers in length and 1,300 meters at its deepest. The canyon is protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is a part of Durmitor national park.
Rafting is very popular on Tara River. It is also one of the most popular things to do in Montenegro. The one day rafting route, from Brstnovica to Scepan Polje is 18 km long and it takes 2 to 3 hours. Among the attractions of the area is Djurdjevica Tara Bridge, on the crossroads between Mojkovac, Zabljak and Pljevlja.
Biogradska Gora
His biggest value is reservation where on an only 1600 hectare area plush with 64 kinds of trees and 25 kinds of communities of plants; the flora and fauna are very rich, which feed near the platforms and glacial lakes of of Biograd. Only two parks of this type exist in Europe.
Durmitor
Suspended above ``Djurdjevica Tara``, on a 108-metre height, is located the bridge with the highest arch in the world. From there, the road takes a turn towards ``and `` Durmitor », mountain to who every this region, inscribed on the List of the worldwide heritage of the UNESCO, owes his name of National park Durmitor.

Ostrog
Engraved in a rock, in an immensely abrupt cliff, the monastery - OSTROG-fascinates us by it`s beauty. It is the monastery of saint Vassili Ostroski, thaumaturge and faith healer of the suffering. Ostrog became the place of hope, the holy city, in which meets the miracle of nature, history and miraculous power of the saint.
Kotor Bay
Founded at the beginning of Medium Age, the city of of Kotor suddenly became a large influence. Byzantine at its beginning, Venice competed for it again and again in the Ottoman. It was finally incorporated in the Kingdom of Serbia in 1814. She was victim of the earthquake which hit all Montenegro in 1979. Kotor is a small small town encircled with walls dating epoch Byzantine and built at the foot of the mounts of Lovcen. They cross the western door of the city to enter the old city:the cathedral saint Tryphon, surprising evidence of Roman architecture. It is the monks Benedictines who introduce Roman style on the Slavonic coast of Adriatic in XI e century in spite of several earthquakes, it was always perfectly restored. This small historical city is located in the bottom of the « Mouths of Kotor.
Inside Boka, between the détroit Verige and Perast is located the island Sveti Djordje, covered with cypress with a church of the same name dating XII e of century. The neighboring island of Sveti Djordje is called Gospa od Skrpjela (our lady of Skrpjel) « Skrpjo means reef ». An artificial island belongs, to create by stony piling up around the reef.
