Some useful information to prepare your journey:
Borders formalities:
No visa required for E.U citizen, only valid passport or I.D. E.U foreigners must ask more information in their local Montenegro Embassy.
Time difference:
No time difference with London.
Currency:
The Euro is the local currency.
Travelers’ check |and| debit cards:
Travelers’ checks accepted by many banks such as Podgorica Bank or Komercijalna Banka and some change offices.
Debit cards (Visa / MasterCard / American Express) are accepted in Montenegro. They are also used in most of the shops, hotels or restaurants.
Driver License |and| Car insurance:
American or English driver licenses are legal in Montenegro, for a rented or personal car.
Cars must be insured for the Montenegrin territory, if not, insurance can be chosen at the border of the country.
Health:
Foreigners benefit from emergency help as a minimum. Insurance is recommended if there are no treaty between Montenegro and your country concerning health issues. Ask your local Embassy.
Language:
Serbian is the official language. German and English are usually spoken and even if a Montenegrin doesn’t speak your language he’ll be pleased to help you.
